I swear. Just because in this past week we went to see him:
- At the San Jose Jazz Festival
- At the Forestville Club
- At a free BBQ party at Boogie Marin in my hood!
A few of the things I love about Eric, besides the new cd Cazadero, is that he's always fresh, always soulful, and always delivers a powerful performance. He's joined by Myles Weeks on upright bass and Will McMains on drums. Sometimes a horn player steps in, and last night a special treat: Cora player and guitarist-songwriter Peter Joseph Burtt, who penned "Lucky Lucky". Well, we were the lucky ones in Sonoma and Marin this week-end.
